I have always enjoyed listening to an African proverb. In actual fact, I have allowed the wisdom of African proverbs to create my path, to lead me forward, and to make me laugh as I ponder. Extracting piece by piece, I glean from its meaning, hoping to find an even deeper meaning within.
A Ghanaian proverb says, "The okra plant does not grow taller than its planter."
One must refrain from thinking they now know best, just because they have experienced a little bit of fame, exposure, or started a new venture in life. Other have come and gone before you. Its the same wheel, you really have not invented anything new. However, you can put your own spin to it. There is nothing new under the sun.
Remember those who have helped you thus far, remain humble.
